In 2015 I got into my current relationship and gained some “new relationship weight”, being the heaviest I had ever been. I was no longer “little Monica”. I felt chubby. It wasn’t all about the weight that I gained, I had gotten way too comfortable with being lazy. That’s when I took charge of my own life! Back then, I didn’t know the ropes of diet and exercise and I lost most of the weight by simply eating less. I was proud but I was what they call “skinny fat”. I wanted to be toned! For the next few years I was hitting the gym, but I wasn’t lifting super heavy, I stuck with comfortable weights and lacked consistency.
In 2018, I got into the gym again, that’s when something just clicked! I fell in love with it. I became obsessed with educating myself on the ins and outs of growing muscle. I loved the feeling after an amazing workout. I loved the results I was seeing. I loved everything about it.
Fast forward to now, I want other women to feel this amazing feeling of passion, strength, and dedication. I want others to feel the way I do, to love themselves from the inside out.
My main passion and motivation is sharing my own experiences and knowledge that I have learned along the way. My followers inspire me to keep going and push harder and for that, I am thankful and pleased to give back! If I inspire one person to fulfill their goals in life or fitness, to finish that last set, to get up and go, I have succeeded in my eyes. I admire every woman’s power and ability to achieve anything they set their mind to. I want women to achieve the things they dream about, and to know that one way of taking control of their own life is through fitness.
